AP/IB credits are awarded according to the year the test was taken. If you do not find the test year listed below, please contact (via email) the Office of High School and College Relations or call (801) 422-5000 for more information.
Every full-year AP course will earn a minimum of 6 semester hours of credit and each half-year AP course will earn a minimum of 3 semester hours of credit for examination scores of 3, 4, or 5.
Note: BYU does not receive AP exam scores from College Board until the end of June or beginning of July. If you did not request that your scores be sent to BYU please send or fax a copy of your AP score sheet to the Admissions Office. If you do not have your score sheet but your high school has put them on the high school transcript you can send or fax a copy of that transcript to the Admissions Office. If your AP scores do not show on your record by the time you arrive your first semester, please contact the Admissions Office.
