Admissions

Post-Baccalaureate Studies

Applicants who have a baccalaureate degree and are interested in attending BYU as a post-baccalaureate studies student (formerly known as graduate non-degree student) should have at least a 3.0 (B) cumulative grade point average.

Post-baccalaureate students may take classes for one year only. They are limited to an enrollment of 11.5 hours or fewer during fall and winter semesters. During spring and summer terms, students may enroll full time. Graduate tuition rates apply.

Registration for courses will be on a space-available basis. Students will not be able to register for fall and winter classes until the first day of class. Applicants should complete parts 1, 2, and 3 of the application, submit an official transcript from each institution awarding a degree and a statement explaining the reasons and length of attendance along with a course outline. No application fee is required.

Note: International applicants (unless permanent residents of the United States) cannot attend BYU as post-baccalaureate studies students.
