Major Academic Plans (MAPs)

The year you entered the program will have an effect upon which requirements apply to you. The maps are updated yearly and changes are made to the major curriculum. You must fulfill the requirements on the MAP of the year you entered the program.

The MAP (Major Academic Plan) is also available at your Advisement Center.

Your MAP provides the following information:

• University Core Requirements (which University Core courses will qualify for your specific major.)
• Major Requirements (A list of different courses which fill the major requirements.)
• Suggested Sequence (A suggested outline of when to take specific courses.)
• Discipline and Careers (A description of not only career fields your major will help qualify you for, but some information on the discipline of the major, internships and co-ops, societies and clubs associated with the major, etc.)
• Academic Plan (A form to help you plan your academic schedule.)
