University Calendar

The annual calendar at BYU includes two semesters and two terms. Fall semester 2004 begins the first Tuesday in September and ends before the Christmas holidays. Winter semester is from early January to late April. Spring and summer terms begin in late April and late June, respectively. Registering for spring and summer terms allows students to accelerate their progress in many degree programs.

Fall Semester 2004
Th Jan 1, 2004 Departmental application deadlines for fall semester 2004 entry to graduate study may be as early as January 1, 2004. For specific program and department deadlines and requirements, refer to the department listing in the 2004–2005 BYU Graduate Catalog or check with the department.
Th Jan 15 Last day new freshmen may apply to be considered for the Gordon B. Hinckley Scholarship
Su Feb 15 Last day international students (new freshman, transfer, and former) may submit admission/scholarship applications for spring term 2005
Su Feb 15 Last day new freshmen may submit undergraduate applications for spring term 2004, summer term 2004, or fall semester 2004 admission, academic scholarship, and talent awards
Th Apr 15 Last day continuing undergraduate students may apply for scholarships for fall semester 2004 or winter semester 2005
M Mar 15 Suggested due date for Continuing Student Ecclesiastical Endorsement to avoid registration delays for fall 2004

T Nov 23 Last day to officially discontinue from the university or drop a class for nonacademic emergencies
