University Calendar

The annual calendar at BYU includes two semesters and two terms. Fall semester 2008 begins the first Tuesday in September and ends before the Christmas holidays. Winter semester is from early January to late April. Spring and summer terms begin April 29 and June 23 respectively. Registering for spring and summer terms allows students to accelerate their progress in many degree programs.

Fall Semester 2008
M Dec 1, 2007 Departmental application deadlines for fall semester 2008 entry to graduate study may be as early as December 1, 2007. For specific program and department deadlines and requirements, refer to the department listing in the 2008–2009 BYU Graduate Catalog or check with the department.
M Jan 15, 2008 Last day continuing students can apply for Spring/Summer scholarships
Th Feb 1 Last day new freshmen may apply to be considered for the Gordon B. Hinckley Scholarship for fall semester 2008
Th Feb 1 Last day new freshmen may submit undergraduate applications for spring term 2008, summer term 2008, or fall semester 2008 admission, academic scholarships, and talent awards
Th Feb 1 Last day international students (new freshman, transfer, and former) may submit admission applications for spring term 2008
Th Mar 1 All enrolled continuing undergraduate, graduate, intern, or Study Abroad students' Continuing Student Ecclesiastical Endorsements are due to avoid registration delays for fall semester 2008
Th Mar 1 Last day transfer and former BYU students (including international students) may submit undergraduate admission applications for spring term 2008, summer term 2008, or fall semester 2008
Th Mar 1 Last day transfer students may submit undergraduate scholarship applications for fall semester 2008
