This department organizes non-credit programs in three areas. First, BYU Campus Education Week, which began in 1922. The week-long program features 1,000 classes, 200 presenters, and serves approximately 22,000 individuals who attend from each of the United States and several other countries. Additionally, more than 200 Education Week presentations are available for "on demand viewing" or broadcast on BYU Television.

Second, the department organizes two Scout PowWow programs each year with a total attendance of approximately 5,600 scouts between the ages of 11 and 18. The programs offer more than 50 merit badges and are associated with the BSA Utah National Parks Council.

And third, the department organizes campus-based Adult Religion Classes which focus primarily on the LDS Standard Works and other gospel-related topics. At least four of these semester-long classes are taught each year with a combined total enrollment of approximately 1,000 individuals.
