This page contains the following parts:

• TITLE: The title identifies which page is being visited.

• THE HEADER: At the top of the page, beneath the wooden bar and above the help icon, there is a header. Letters (A to Z) are separated by the | symbol. If you click on one of the letters in the header, your web browser will scroll down to where the listing of topics of that letter starts.

  The Table of Contents file must be fully loaded for the header to work properly. If a letter is clicked on before the corresponding section is loaded, nothing will happen. Just wait until the file is completely loaded, and then select the letter again.

  In the header are three yellow icons. Clicking "Help" will bring you to this page. Clicking "Major MAPs" will take you to the Alphabetical List of Undergraduate Majors at BYU page, from which you can view the GE requirements, major requirements, suggested sequence of courses, and discipline and career information for all available undergraduate majors at BYU. Clicking "Class Schedule" will take you to the BYU Class Schedule page, where you can browse the course availibility listings for the coming semesters and see what classes will be taught at BYU.

• LINKS

  When looking up a subject, click on the appropiate link. An unvisited link is green and a visited link is brown. Black text are not links. This are words that are referred to another word. For example, "art" is not found in the catalog, but the word "design" is found in the catalog. Some topics in the index correspond to more than one location in the catalog. An example is Academic Support Office. The word REFS: appears at the end of the topic line, followed by a series of numbers. Click on each number to visit a different location in the catalog.

  Some topics in the index refer to other topics in the index. An example is Assemblies. These topics have one or more "(See ..)". Each of these is a separate link. Click on the appropriate link.

• BACK LINKS: There are back links at the bottom of every page. The Undergraduate Catalog logo always takes you back to the first page in the catalog. The BYU logo returns you to the BYU homepage. Many other pages in the catalog, like this help page, also have a link labeled "Back" that will take you back to the last page visited.
