Graduation Checklist

• Apply for Graduation before the Deadline.


• Pick up and complete a graduation application at your Individual Advisement Center.
  
  
  • Print your name exactly as you want it to appear on your diploma including any accents.
  
  
  • A letter, calendar of deadline dates, and a Progess Report will be sent to the Local Address you put on your Graduation Application. This letter will show you how your name will appear on your diploma. Please Contact the Graduation Office if your name is spelled incorrectly. The Graduation Office is located at B-150 in the ASB.


• If you plan to certify to teach Secondary Education, you must take your application to the Education Advisement Center and meet with an adviser before turning in your application at the Cashier's Office (D-155 ASB).


• Turn in Graduation application and pay the $15.00 graduation fee at Cashier's Office (D-155 ASB).


• Complete a graduation plan-be sure you have either completed or are working on all Major, General Education and University requirements for graduation.


• If you are completing an Independent Study Course needed for Graduation, hand in all course work before the deadline


• If you are working on "T" grades, GE challenges, special exams, military credit, transfer work, etc. pertaining to a particular graduation, make sure all work is submitted to the Records Office (B-150 ASB) by the deadline


• At the time of Graduation, make sure that the Mailing Address in our computer system is the address you want your diploma sent to. You can change your mailing address on Route Y under Update Personal Information.


• Order Cap and Gown


• Order Graduation Announcements


• Pick up Cap and Gown


• Assemble for Academic Processional


• Attend Commencement Exercises


• Attend President's Reception


• Attend Convocation Exercises


• Return Cap and Gown


• Receive Diploma 3-8 weeks after graduation
