Statistical Highlights

Each year, Brigham Young University grants nearly 8,500 degrees to students in April, August and December. Commencement Exercises are held in April and August. Those who graduate in December are invited to participate in the April ceremonies that follow their graduation.

Please note that graduation statistics for recent graduation ceremonies will be available 3-6 weeks following graduation.

Highlights of the August 2007 Graduating Class

A combined total of 2,200 degrees were awarded to Brigham Young University Graduates at Commencement Exercises August 16, 2007. They are as follows:

56.4% of the individuals in the graduating class were married. 60.6% of the males and 52.4% of the females were married.

Grade-Point Average
The cumulative grade point average for the graduates receiving Baccalaureate Degrees in August is 3.16.

Church Membership
98.8% of undergraduates are members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Transfer Student Statistics
30.2% of August undergraduate students and 63.1% of August graduate students have attended other institutions of higher learning before enrolling at Brigham Young University.
