A) Complete Your To-Do List Items

Your to-do items will appear on My Financial Center. These must be completed before processing can continue.

Verification

You may be selected and required to verify the information on your financial aid application. See Financial Aid Verification for more information.

Entrance Counseling

As a first-time Stafford borrower at BYU, you will need to complete Entrance Counseling. You will be prompted to do this at the appropriate time in your "to-do" list on My Financial Center.

Sign Master Promissory Note

 

You will need to complete a Master Promissory Note the first time you get a Stafford Loan (or other federal loan) at BYU.  You will be prompted to do this at the appropriate time in your "to-do" list on My Financial Center.

Other Important To-Do Topics

Submit a FERPA Release (Optional)

If you want us to be able to discuss your financial aid or scholarships with anyone other than yourself, please submit a FERPA Release Form. Without this form we will be unable to discuss your personal financial information with anyone but you.

 

Register for Classes

Register for classes. If you do not have classes, you are not technically considered a student. If you are not a student, we cannot give you student aid.
