Thomas S. Monson Presidential Scholarship

The Thomas S. Monson Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered at Brigham Young University to incoming LDS freshman students. This scholarship, which bears the name of the Prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recognizes the leadership, personal character, and academic promise of some of the finest young minds in the Church. Twenty-five young men and twenty-five young women are awarded each year. To be appointed a Thomas S. Monson Presidential Scholar is a singular achievement.
There is no longer a separate application required for the Thomas S. Monson Presidential Scholarship for New Freshmen. Simply complete any of the three scholarship application options (Basic, Enhanced, or Comprehensive). International LDS students must submit ACT or SAT exam results in order to be considered for this scholarship.
