Application: The scholarship application is available online through Route Y. If you are a continuing student, refer to Reapplying for Scholarships for additional information. Make sure you apply by the appropriate deadlines. The application has three levels:
Enhanced: For private scholarships without need-based component, as well as academic awards. Requires three essays.
Basic: For academic scholarships only.
By completing the comprehensive online application, you will be considered for all scholarships awarded through our office. The Thomas S. Monson Presidential Scholarship for incoming freshmen is the only scholarship that requires a separate application.
Types of scholarships: Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit (see academic requirements), financial need, and personal criteria (such as home state, interests, etc.). We also have a few scholarships for international students and students registered with the Accessibility Center. Diversity scholarships are offered through the Multicultural Office (422-3065). We do not have a list of available scholarships, since students are considered for all awards upon completion of the comprehensive application.
Contact individual departments and colleges to inquire about scholarships specific to their programs.
Scholarship amount: Students will receive only one scholarship from our office. If you qualify for more than one scholarship, you will receive the award with the highest value. Most scholarships are either full LDS tuition or half LDS tuition. You are welcome to receive additional scholarships from your department or other organizations.
