Convocations

Each college holds convocations the day after commencement. The college dean presides over the convocation. Each graduate is recognized by name and appears on stage.

Convocation Information (For Graduates)

Education

Graduates need to be at the Smith Fieldhouse one hour prior to convocation.

Fulton College of Engineering and Technology

Graduates need to meet in the west annex of the Smith Fieldhouse one hour prior to convocation.

Family, Home, and Social Science (Excludes School of Family Life)

Graduates need to meet at the Victory Bell, outside the southwest corner of the Marriott Center, one hour prior to convocation.

Family, Home, and Social Science (School of Family Life)

Graduates need to meet in the Garden Court of the Wilkinson Student Center 45 minutes prior to convocation.

Fine Arts and Communication

Graduates need to meet in the HFAC tunnel 45 minutes prior to convocation. The tunnel is located on the 2nd floor in the north end of the building.

Health and Human Performance

Graduates need to meet 30 minutes prior to convocation in the west annex of the Smith Fieldhouse.

Humanities

Graduates need to meet at Portal U one hour prior to convocation.

Kennedy Center

Graduates need to meet 40 minutes prior to convocation at the Joseph Smith Building atrium.

Life Sciences

Graduates neet to arrive at the Marriott Center according to the following chart:

Marriott School of Management

Graduates need to meet at the Marriott Center one hour prior to convocation. Undergraduate students should meet at Portal W and graduate students should meet at Portal U.

Nursing

Graduates need to meet just outside the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium 45 minutes prior to convocation.

Physical and Mathematical Science

Graduates need to meet 30 minutes prior to convocation in the Garden Court of the Wilkinson Student Center.
