Block Classes

Block Classes

A block class is half of a semester. Only a few courses are offered “on the block”; those offered the first block are completed in the first eight weeks of instruction; those offered the second block begin midway through the semester and are completed at the end of the semester. Block classes allow students to complete a course at an accelerated pace. Go to the Class Schedule to find out which classes are offered on the block (BLK 1 or BLK 2).

Admissions

Students desiring to attend second block classes must first be admitted for the semester they wish to attend.  All dates and deadlines for full semester classes apply.  Because of the limited number of classes offered on the block, students are discouraged from registering for only block classes.

Tuition

Tuition for block classes is the same as regular semester classes.  The same tuition deadlines and late fees for regular semester classes apply to block classes.
