Class Standing

Registration » Class Standing

At the beginning of each semester, undergraduate students are classified for that semester based on earned credits as follows:

Credit Hours Earned Class Standing
0-29.9 Freshman
30-59.9 Sophomore
60-89.9 Junior
90 and over Senior

Earned Credits = all credits which the student has earned (A, B, C, D, P).
Graded Credits = all classes for which graded are assigned (A, B, C, D, E, I, IE, UW, WE).

This class standing influences when a student can register according to the priority registration schedule.
