Postbaccalaureate Studies Program

Taking additional credits at BYU

Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and are not enrolled in a graduate program are not normally admissible to BYU. These students may use university resources during spring and summer terms, through evening classes, or through BYU Independent Study. Fall and winter resources are reserved for undergraduate students and students who have been officially admitted into a graduate program. The postbaccalaureate studies program is designed to assist a limited number of students who are exceptions to the above policy. BYU does not offer second bachelor's degrees under any circumstances.

To be considered for admission to the postbaccalaureate studies program, you must complete the following requirements:

  • A baccalaureate degree
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
